Gathering at Temple Square

On December 8, 2012, I had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gather with dozens of prospective sister missionaries from all over Utah in front of the Salt Lake City Temple. It was an experience I will not soon forget. I will never forget the excitement, joy, and enthusiasm that emanated from the countenances of these beautiful sisters. I will never forget the Spirit that filled my heart as we gathered and sang, "As Sisters in Zion," "Called to Serve," and "Army of Helaman." I will never forget the powerful testimony offered by a sister missionary serving in Salt Lake City, who testified of the divinity of missionary work. Though the snow was falling fast and many of us were freezing cold, the Spirit that burned within our hearts made the experience uplifting, edifying, and unforgettable.
As I gathered with these valiant sisters, the Spirit of God testified to me that God is expanding His forces and building His Kingdom upon the Earth. I feel truly blessed and humbled to be one among thousands of faithful sisters to answer His call. I am grateful for the valiant youth of the church today who have the burning desire to serve God, both at home and in the mission field. I am so grateful, and humbled, to be a part of the first wave of younger missionaries to serve in the mission field.
I love this Gospel. It has blessed my life in innumerable ways, and words cannot express my gratitude towards my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope my actions in the next 18 months will help me express my gratitude for Him and His tender mercies in my life. I am so excited to bring His children in Tennessee the good news of the Gospel. I am so excited to bless their lives and bring them to a knowledge of their Savior and Redeemer. I know this Church is true and has the power to change lives. It brings happiness and hope in a world full of darkness and despair. I am so excited that thousands of new missionaries will be travelling all over the world and bringing God's children the light, truth, and hope that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is now time to bring the world His truth.

I love all y'all dearly and appreciate your generosity. But due to my efforts to keep myself healthy and fit, I would greatly appreciate healthy snacks, rather than sweets, in any packages. If you send me sugar I guarantee it will go to my companions. But I'm sure they'll appreciate it. =) Thanks for your understanding!

Cliff bars are welcome! Seriously. I love those things. ;)
